COOKIES
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. Cookies are used for different purposes: execution of IT authentication, session monitoring, storage of information on specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, storage of preferences, etc.
Access to one or more pages of the WiForAgri site can generate the following types of cookies:
1) Technical cookies
The WiForAgri site uses analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies as they are used for statistical purposes only to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. For these cookies, the user’s prior consent is not required (ref. Provision of 8 May 2014 of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data concerning: “Identification of the simplified procedures for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies).
The data obtainable from these cookies (including IP addresses) are, in fact, processed by WiForAgri as site manager exclusively for statistical purposes and for processing reports on the use of the site itself.
Session cookies are also used to ensure effective navigation and use of the website and for authentication to online services, allowing, for example, access to restricted areas. These are cookies that are not stored permanently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed and whose use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server). The use of these cookies does not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user.
2) Third-party cookies
For the use of social networks and other multimedia applications, third-party cookies can be installed on the user’s terminal via the WiForAgri website, on which the disclosure and consent obligations prescribed by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data are placed. The cookies installed on the WiForAgri website for services guaranteed by third parties can be traced back to those indicated below by way of example and not limited to, to which reference should be made for consulting the related policies and information:
– Twitter
– Facebook
– YouTube
– Google
The WiForAgri site, as a technical intermediary between third parties and users, provides, with the methods provided by the Guarantor, the necessary information when accessing the aforementioned social media and applications, by means of a message containing a first “brief” information, the request for consent to the use of cookies, a link to access more extensive information and the possibility of denying consent to the installation of cookies. It should be noted that any continuation of the navigation by ignoring the information banner implies the implicit consent to the use of the cookies in question.
Disable cookies (opt-out) on your device
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but it is possible to refuse them. If you do not wish to receive or store cookies, you can change the security settings of the browser used (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari Opera, etc …).
